There are two coach companies operating bus transfers to and from Southampton Airport and Southampton University and the city centre. There are generally coaches every fifteen to twenty minutes depending on the time of day and season. As you would expect there is an airport taxi service, which is located in the main concourse opposite the arrivals hall of the terminal building. The airport taxi service operated twenty four hours a day and can be booked in advance. Airport taxis are not the cheapest but do offer a convenience that is not available unless you hire your own car.
